The GFS Events team partnered with Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility to organize their 2023 Health Justice Gala. The funds raised from this event went directly to support their mission to create a healthy, just, peaceful and sustainable world. The evening included a seated dinner, an exceptional program, a Game Show, a Live Auction, Raise the Paddle, and Dessert Dash. WA state Commissioner of Public Lands, Hilary Franz was their keynote speaker and gave a wonderful and powerful speech. The Vice Dean for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in the UW Medicine Office of Health Care Equity, Dr. Bessie Young was presented with the 2023 WPSR Paul Besson Award. Finally, Dr. David C. Hall, a dedicated supporter of WPSR, was given the 2023 Lifetime Achievement award. GFS created the timeline, oversaw the planning process, communicated with Table Captains, advised on event theme and decor, led auction procurement activities, created and monitored the event website and registrations, and coordinated the day-of event logistics.

This was WPSR’s first year hosting a game show named The Price is High based off of The Price is Right. It was a huge success, leaving people wanting to play again and again!
