Washington Wildlife & Recreation Coalition’s Recreate Luncheon 2021

September 2021

The Wildlife Recreation & Coalition hired the GFS Events team for the third year in a row to oversee their annual fundraising event. This year, the event moved away from their annual Breakfast to an outdoor Luncheon at Meadowbrook Farm with Keynote speaker Sophia Danenberg, the first Black woman to climb Mt. Everest. The GFS Events team managed the venue coordination, vendor logistics, and assisted with overall room design layout. GFS Events was also hired to provide sponsorship assistance and worked along the WWRC to manage sponsorship outreach.  Proceeds from the event support the Coalition’s work to fund outdoor recreation and conservation projects across the state. The GFS Events team managed communications with their table captains and communication templates for email and social media. GFS was also in charge of creating the Run of Show for the day of the event, ensuring that their first in-person fundraiser since the COVID-19 pandemic was a success. Our team also worked with the WWRC to create an engaging online experience for those that were unable to attend in person.

Fun Fact
Meadowbrook Farm is a WWRP project that the WWRC funds as an organization! Following the event, guests were encouraged to explore the surrounding area.
We have worked with GFS for three events now, and we appreciate their professionalism and attention to detail. Having them manage the timeline and tasks was a lifesaver as we went through staff changes this year. This year was arguably just as hard as 2020 to hold an event due to the uncertain nature of in-person gatherings, but they handled the challenge well. We appreciated their ability to be flexible, especially when the weather took a turn for the worse and we had to rearrange our layout multiple times. Alex and Gazala were our main points of contact, and it was a pleasure working with them. Thank you GFS!
