GFS Events was originally hired to coordinate vendor management, procurement, and event logistics for IGNITE Worldwide’s Spring Gala. After the announcement of COVID-19, GFS Events and IGNITE Worldwide decided to transform the gala into a week-long virtual fundraiser and online auction. GFS Events managed Virtual Ambassador outreach, implemented communication templates, created the donor platform, and produced a Virtual Cocktail Hour & Raise The Paddle. The GFS team also created an in-depth schedule and script for the Virtual Spring Gala. IGNITE Worldwide raised $368,000 with the Virtual Spring Gala!

It was a joy and pleasure working with Gazala and Alex at GFS Events to help a mutual client achieve significant success at a recent virtual fundraiser. My experience was that the GFS team brought a collaborative energy, best practices, detailed organization, and a passion to work together to help the event achieve its full potential. From weekly meetings, to management of backend online auction tools, to suggestions on what they had seen work for other clients, GFS brought a full range of resources and ideas to the challenge. The outcome was excellent, the client pleased and as a result, the organization is able to expand its mission of creating lasting and systemic change in gender equity in technology education and careers.
