The Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank coordinated with local police to shut down the major roads in downtown Issaquah to use as the race course!
Turkey Trot
GFS Events partnered with the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank to produce their 2022 Turkey Trot, which brought families and friends together after two years without the event. This 5K Fun Run took place bright and early on Thanksgiving morning. About 4,000 people made their way to downtown Issaquah and were treated to beautiful sunny weather. Participants enjoyed goodies from the food trucks on site and got tours of the food bank before starting the race. GFS Events managed the event timeline and vendor communications. We also oversaw the day-of registration and t-shirt handout. The Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank raised over $100,000 to help provide free food and basic needs resources to anyone in need in the 110-square-mile service area of Issaquah.
