For the second year, GFS Events was hired by Seattle Peace Chorus to assist with their annual Feast for Peace fundraising dinner. GFS created an event timeline, provided input on marketing material, oversaw the table captain process and communicated with table captains throughout the process, managed the logistics around catering, the venue, the emcee, and volunteers. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we ended up turning the event from an in-person event to a virtual event in under a 3 week period. We created a virtual website and helped turn their table captains into virtual fundraising ambassadors. The virtual event launched the day before the original event date and we offered six days of virtual giving. We helped Seattle Peace Chorus raise 105% of their virtual fundraising goal!
“After the first time running our annual fundraiser with Gazala and Sarah guiding us and managing our successful event, we decided never to do it again without them. They know what they are doing, but they also are flexible, creative, and easy to work with. For the previous four years, doing it on our own meant that we burned out at least one person every year, but with GFS Events, all our volunteers were happy. When, this year, we had to move to an online fundraising because of the coronavirus pandemic, they showed us how to do it using our own website, Auctria, Constant Contact, and social media, and they provided copy and graphics. With them, we were less anxious and had an even more successful online event, surpassing our goal.”
